                IBPS SYLLABUS

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will conduct Common Written Examination (CWE) for recruitment to allocate the vacancies of Probationary Officers/ Management trainees (PO/MT) for the particular banks authorized by IBPS.

IBPS has recently released notification for PO/MT Vacancies. Every year a large number of candidates will apply for this IBPS exam why because it is a common test. so generally the people who are preparing for this IBPS exams have to work hard to qualify for the exam. Now-a-days it is becoming too difficult to qualify this exam, First they will conduct a online test and descriptive test. The persons who are qualified in that written test will be selected for the final interview and then the candidate will be selected for the job.

Negative Marking:

In this IBPS Objective Type Test there is also a negative marking. For every wrong answer One-fourth or 0.25 marks will be deducted to that related question.

Cutoff Score:

The candidates Who are preparing to write the IBPS exam have to note that the candidate has to score minimum in each section also should get minimum total score are to be considered to shortlist for interview. Interview:

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection(IBPS) is a self-governing authority in India. The IBPS initially started its operation in 1975 as Personnel Selection Services (PSS). After in 1984, the IBPS has turned as self-employed legal fictions by the order of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Public Sector Banks. IBPS is entered as self-governed academic and research oriented Institute, with a target of increasing human process development through personal assessment.

In 2011 IBPS has conducted a common written examination (CWE) for the selection Officers and Clerks in Indian banks. Now IBPS CWE is required for everyone who looks for employment in 20 public sector and Regional Rural banks. IBPS is frequently conducts the exam for candidates at various locations through online or offline mode. Governing Board :

                      The Governing Board comprises of candidates from Reserve Bank of India, Ministry of Finance Government of India, National Institute of Bank Management, representatives of Public Sector Banks, Insurance sector and academics.

Exams For Different Cadres:

                  IBPS will conduct the comman exams for every six months. As per the latest notification PO & Clerk will be conducted for once a year
·         CWE - Clerk for Clerical positions
·         CWE PO/MT  - For Probationary Officer/Management Trainee
·         Specialist Officer- For Specialist Officer Positions
·         RRB Officers  - For selection of officers & office assistants to Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) governed by NABARD.

Eligibility:

                  IBPS has changed the eligibility criteria for candidates as per the approval of Government of India. The age limit to apply for PO & clerical exams is below 20 to 30 and education qualification is any degree from recognized university.

                 For the Specialist Officers, they required a Professional qualification in law Accounting, Agriculture, IT or management sector and also A certificate is required in Computer operations or  Computer Knowledge are mandatory for these posts.

Common Written Examination (CWE)

                The IBPS CWE syllabus and general instructions for filling IBPS online application is available in Exam Notification Details. The exam date and Venue will be intimated for the candidates Via through call letter or they can download from IBPS official website. IBPS CWE is a objective type exam and it will have negative marking for every wrong answer. At first the exam is conducted through offline mode, but in 2012 IBPS moved to an internet-based examination process .

Results :

            The IBPS CWE results will be published through online mode from the official website. All the candidates who are written the CWE exam can check their results from official website only.

              IBPS goes for a cut-off method to decide the final score Known as TWSS (Total Weighted Standardized Scores). The scorecard will be send for the qualified candidates. The candidates who are qualified in the exam have to wait for Common interview to take place.

Common Interview :

          In 2012, IBPS officially declared that the banks can no longer conduct the interviews for qualified candidates those are selected in the CWE. Instead of it, IBPS itself is conducting a Common interview (CI) for qualified candidates in CWE. The interview will be arranged in different locations and will finalizes the merit list and will be recruit them directly for the banking jobs by IBPS. That Simply the IBPS has a complete control over recruiting and placing process to all public sector banks in India.
